10. "Laura, wake up! It's 5:45." -Me, waking my roommate up to go vote with me when the polls opened at 6am.
9. "Why didn't I wear long pants?" Me, while standing in the rain in my workout clothes... yeah, we really thought we'd have time to still hit the gym before work.
8. "Is that really the line?" -Laura, to me, while we stand and look at the massive voting line at 6:21am.
7. "Well I'll be a son of a gun!" -The lady behind us in line... did she really just say that?
6. "I've never appreciated an umbrella so much." -My thought while waiting in line for an hour in the rain.
5. "Hey there, trouble! How's it goin?" -Random lady who saw her neighbor while finding her way to the back of the line... apparently his name is Trouble.
4. "No campaigning beyond this point!" -Sign posted while people campaigned 3 feet from it... gotta love that!
3. "Anyone's name start with E-Q?" -The nice lady who let me cut in line because my name's line was shorter... YESSSSS!
2. "Congratulations, you're the 100th voter... in our line." -The lady who checked my name off after looking at my Alabama driver's license. It was kinda fun to be the 100th voter.
1. "Have a nice day!" -The sheriff guy who stood in line in front of us for the entire hour... funny how you feel like you become friends with people when you're forced to stand in close proximity for that long!

Nothing too fun, other than my wife enforcing the election rules on me when I did my absentee ballot..."You can not open the envelope without me present!" (She was my witness)

ReplyDeleteAwww, teddyb1684 has me beat. It took me 3 min to get in the building, check in, vote, and leave (looked at my watch too!)...maybe if I hadn't double checked my bubbles!
