I’ve recently taken a hiatus from blogging for about two weeks. Sorry, I was with my family, my boyfriend, my boyfriend’s family, and also in the process of moving to a new state… here are some observations from my blogging hiatus.
- People do not visit your blog when you don’t post.
- I do not read others’ blogs when I’m not blogging (sorry, friends).
- I quickly quit thinking, “hey, I could blog about this.”
- I read my dad’s blog and thought, “when did he have time to write all that? I was with him!” Then I remembered… he chose to blog. I chose to nap.
- Taking a blog hiatus this time of year is not a horrible thing. The rest of the world seems to shut down from any semblance of normalcy. No one is on a regular working schedule, people are visiting family, cooking, shopping, traveling, etc. They probably wouldn’t have read my blog anyway.
No worries, though. I’m back now. Moving to Nashville tomorrow!
welcome back to blog-topia!
ReplyDeleteLove to see what all you have been up to. Great lists of firsts! I'm all about getting all those things on your list checked off! Best of luck in your new adventures!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! Good to get a text from you yesterday. Hope the rest of your travels have gone well. Look forward to reading all about it.
ReplyDeleteWoop WOop She's back!
ReplyDeleteShutting down normalcy over breaks is a great observation. I think it applies to most people's attitudes. For me and some others, I think I'm nicer during the holidays and I'm generally more grumpy in my "normalcy". Some people turn into crazies during the holidays - especially shopping.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the holidays relax us a bit more and we become more who we really are; or the opposite: maybe they stress some of us to the point of showing our ugliness. Maybe the normalcy is a fake!
Welcome back. Your blog was missed.
