I told some folks in NEO (that's New Employee Orientation, where they gave us an entire handout on the abbreviations people use in the organization) that I needed a financial advisor to tell me how to spend my paycheck every two weeks... It's awesome to have so many choices, but it also makes me feel the pressure to make the right decision. One girl turned me and said, "My dad always told me that I needed to make my own mistakes. That's the only way I was going to learn." I guess her dad was right, and I do have to grow up eventually. So, here's to potential wrong decisions and mistakes in my mound of choices to make before I head in to day 2 of NEO tomorrow!
Have a great second day. You are missed. Stay young...pet insurance is pretty ingenious. ha.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't grow up can you still grow old with someone?
ReplyDeleteAbbreviations are good times! I wish they taught us how to spend money instead of just throwing it at our irresponsible selves.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you are loving your new job. Waters Edge misses you, I'm sure.
