Randomness, Randomness, everything is Randomness!

Here's what's been going on in my life and in my head...
  • Happy Veterans Day!
  • Happy National OMC Day... only coincidence that it falls on Veterans Day!
  • My blog has been neglected over the past week.  Sorry.  This was one of my fears in blogging.
  • I watched Toy Story 3 with Nic last weekend... and cried.  I told him - I think I've cried at every Toy Story movie.  Sad, I know.
  • Alabama lost last weekend.  That was sad also.  I'm trying to keep this whole football thing in perspective.  It's JUST a game.
  • Game Night in Birmingham was a success.  I love that Nic and I can enjoy hanging out with old friends who really are like family.
  • I've been on the road all week.  It makes me thankful for HOME.
  • On the road, I've gotten to hang out with several CentriKid staffers.  I love being reminded how much I care for those people, and just love ministry to college students as well!
  • Anderson University is a pretty rockin' CentriKid location.  I've spent the past two days here.
  • I like to shop.  I've done nothing but shop in the free time I've had.
  • Last night I ate at Panera by myself.  I seldom do that.  It's awkward. I'm thinkin' it's probably like going to the movies by yourself, but I've never done that so I wouldn't know.
  • I do love to people-watch and conversation-eavesdrop while I'm eating at Panera by myself.  It only helped that 3 ladies were talking about their church's kids ministry. :)
  • Speaking of church's kids ministry... Amanda and Sarah are coming to visit!  YAY! Can't wait to see them in a couple of days.
  • Nic is having surgery next week.  He's getting a pin in his broken wrist.  Fun times.
  • I am about to starting working on a writing assignment... an article about balancing family and friends during the holidays.  I'm not especially good at that balance, so we'll see how I do at writing on it!
  • I have spent the week interviewing people interested in working for CentriKid.  It's absolutely fascinating. Praying continually for guidance... and humbled to be a part of the process.
  • Working on a post about what NOT to say or do in an interview...
That's all for now!

  1. 2 things...1. What is OMC Day? 2. Going to the movies by yourself it great. It's dark so no one notices. If I can find someone to go I'll take em, but I'm not afraid to go to a movie by myself. Sometimes I end up meeting others who go by themselves and we become movie friends. Ok that last part isn't true, but I have gone to a movie by myself.
