As you may or may not know, it's all about Sundays at
Waters Edge! We pour LOTS of time and energy into making each Sunday an incredible experience for all who attend, and Sundays are fun! This chronicles only about 4.3% of what I do on Sundays, but at least it's a start. Welcome to a snapshot of my Sunday....
7:01 -- Coffee is made. Finishing up a few things around the apartment before heading out.
7:18 -- In the car, headed to the YMCA... yes, it is still dark, and people are already at the YMCA unloading trailers.
7:35 -- Amanda arrives and unloads her car. She takes care of a LOT of stuff in her car for us each week!
7:41 -- Checking in with the Kid Kraze Setup Team...
Brian Miller and friends are putting together our cool puzzle mats.
8:03 -- Preparing COACH REPORTS for my incredible Kid Kraze and WeeWorld Coaches!
8:17 --
Rob Shepherd does a sound check/run-through for the preshow.
8:32 -- Helping with Kid Kraze props and staging. Did you know that writing on posters is a spiritual gift?
8:53 -- Quick picture with the David, Caris, and Joseph... David is praying during all four services, so he gets to wear the cool headset mic today with tape on his face. Like me, he really doesn't like the tape on the face.
9:37 --
Phil Poteat and the Waters Edge Band lead worship in the service with the song, "Glory to God." It's one of my new favorites!
10:47 -- Preparing for Volunteer Orientation... yes, you read correctly. It's in the Men's Locker Room. When you have church at the Y, you use EVERY available space!
11:03 -- Just finished the intro to volunteer orientation. Now Caris and I will attend the service!
12:25 -- Supplies loaded back into Amanda's car.
12:37 -- Trailers are loaded, the YMCA is back to normal, and I'm headed home for lunch!
to be continued...
