coffee snob

Growing up, I hated coffee.  I wondered why my parents were addicted to this steaming gross black bitterness that turns your teeth yellow.  Who drinks that stuff, especially on a humid summer afternoon in Alabama?!?!  I always wondered, "what makes you think that stuff is good?"  I was also that kid who tried really hard to be cool and drink coffee at church, but I never could quite get it diluted enough for my taste.  Something changed during my second year of grad school.  For the first time since I'd started college, I had a coffee maker at my disposal with a fresh pot brewed each morning.  I quickly became addicted.  I guess I've been on coffee for about 5 years now.  I used to not be a coffee snob at all... I could drink any brand as long as some form of cream or milk and also some sweetener other than the pink stuff was available to make it a little more bearable.

Recently I became an official self-proclaimed coffee snob through a long series of events:
Summer '06 - I was first introduced to my new favorite coffee, and it was delivered to me that day in a cardboard box... I definitely didn't see this one coming.  January '08 - I moved to a city where this coffee is readily available.  July '08 - my coffee stash at home is completely gone and I have to pick up coffee on the way to work.  There is clearly only one choice - Dunkin' Donuts.  Yes, it's true.  I am a Krispy Kreme DONUT fan at heart, but I cannot resist the coffee of Dunkin!  It made my day when it hit the grocery store shelves, and now, as a self-proclaimed coffee snob, I will only drink Dunkin.

Current Flavor: French Vanilla.
