DISCLAIMER. this is one of those "I'm a nerd" seminary posts. From time to time I just get really excited about nerdy-seminarian-ish things. If you can't handle that, then tomorrow I'll be back to the real world. END of DISCLAIMER.the ESV (that's the English Standard Version) Study Bible came out a week ago. I am completely stoked to get a copy of this! Two of my seminary professors wrote study notes as a part of this project... one wrote the notes for Jeremiah and Lamentations, and the other wrote for 1 Corinthians.
Word on the street is that the ESV study Bible is pretty popular... pre-orders topped 100,000 before it was released last week. no wonder i couldn't find it in the 3 book stores i visited last friday. Mark Driscoll called it, "the best. period." it's hot off the press, so get yours now!
